Giving Thanks

As most people are already giving in to the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season and in particular the "shopping season", I am reminded that this time of year is one to give thanks to God for everything He has blessed with this past year. While we should be mindful of all our Lord and Savior does for us each and every day, this is a season when that idea is most prevelent.
With that in mind, I would like to say that I am truly thankful for my family. I am thankful for friends that are true and hope the best for me. I am thankful for my job, even though I complain about it. I am thankful for the longing I have gotten this year to get in shape, both physically and Spiritually. While I owe all these things and the thanks for them to God above, I feel like there is one thing that He has blessed me with this year more than anything else. I am truly greatful for the friendship that I have found in a special friend of mine this year.
She knows who she is, and I would just like to say that everytime we get to share what God is doing in our lives and every chance we get to just spend together is truly a blessing. I believe that for the time I have been overwhelming blessed by a friendship that keeps me accountable to the things of God, and just helps me long to be a better Christian and person in general. I cannot see where I would be without her constant support and encouragement in all things in my life right now and I have to truly thank God every night for the fact that He continually allows her to be there in my life.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know that it is brighter just because she is part of my life. And I just pray every day that I remember that it is God who has placed her in it and that I never take her for granted.

What are some things that you are thankful for?

I am thankful for you, Sam. You have so much potential that its crazy. You're talented, smart, gifted, good with people, and can be disciplined. You've proved that if you put your mind to something you can accomplish it. (i.e. Working out)

Do NOT settle for mediocre. God's got big things in store for you, Big Guy. (or should I say, not so Big Guy, now?)

I believe in you.

By the way, the first comment was from me. It had some grammatical errors and it wouldn't let me edit it, so I deleted it.

I'm anal like that. Sorry.
